Mrs. Brownie Shelton Nester

Mrs. Brownie Shelton Nester, age 90 of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Nester was born in Surry County on April 9, 1923 to Jim and Hallie Hicks Shelton. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Ronda and Larry T Norris of Mt. Airy; a grandson, Frank T. Norris and wife Lisa C. Norris of Greenville and a sister, Eva Hylton of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nester was preceded in death by her husband, Frank John Nester. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home beginning at 9:30 AM.
