Mrs. Callie Ruth Price

Mrs. Callie Ruth Price, age 91 of Stuart, Virginia passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday morning, May 29, 2013, at the Landmark Center in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on June 30, 1921 to the late Jefferson Taylor Carter and Callie Spencer Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Price; five sisters; two brothers; and a special friend, Alvin Haley. She was a dedicated volunteer for the Patrick County Historical Society and a member of Stuart United Methodist Church. She loved hiking all through Patrick County searching for fairystones and arrowheads, music and playing the piano. She also held a great fondness for her dogs throughout her life.
Mrs. Price is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Price will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Rev. Tommy Shepherd officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Stuart Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
