Mrs. Carol Lee Martin Williams

Mrs. Carol Lee Martin Williams, age 71, of Mt. Airy, NC passed away at her home on Sunday, June 25, 2017. She was born in Surry County on July 21, 1945 to Wilma Harvey Martin Sutphin and to the late Leroy Martin. She worked as a toe seamer and held other jobs throughout her life. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband Luther Jackson Williams; two deceased brothers Dennis Martin, and John McHone. Surviving are her sons Michael Ayers, of Mt. Airy, Derrick and his wife Lauren Williams, of Charlotte, NC; one grandson Steven Paddock; her mother of, Mt. Airy; two sisters and brothers-in-law Linda and Don Connoy, and Misty and Danny Collins, all of Mt. Airy; brother and sister-in-law James and Peggy Martin, of Mt. Airy; several nieces and nephews; step children Donnie, Alan, Steve Williams, and Kitty Williams. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the cemetery of Pilot View Friends Church, with Rev. Nelson Puffenbargar conducting the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Ln. Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030. There will be no formal services held at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson.
