Mrs. Carolene Moseley

Mrs. Emily Carolene Surratt Moseley, age 79, of Mt. Airy, went to be with her Lord on February 28, 2018. Mrs. Moseley was born in Surry County on January 9, 1939, to Moir and Hallie Benge Surratt. She was a very dear lady who will be sorely missed by all her family and friends. Surviving are special sisters-in-law, Luvenia Simmons, Edna Sisk and husband Otis, and Barbara Pruitt and husband James; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian and Barry Carter, Linda and Jimmy Culler, and Helen Surratt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Wanda Surratt, Herman Surratt, and Doris Surratt; nieces, Caroline Gwyn, Rochelle Carter, and Crystal Dunkle; a nephew Todd Culler; and a special cousin, Brenda Jones. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moseley was preceded in death by her husband, Elder Clayton Moseley; a sister, Edith Surratt; and a brother, Wade Surratt. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Elder Gary Lowe, and Elder Jimmy Joyce. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stewart’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church, 601 Johnson Ridge Rd., Apt 167, Elkin, NC 28621.
