Mrs. Carolyn Norton Hollingsworth

Mrs. Carolyn Norton Hollingsworth, age 81, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at her home.  She was born in Rowan County on October 28, 1940 to the late Charlie and Mary Payne Norton.  Mrs. Hollingsworth had retired from the Mt. Airy City School System after 30 years of service.  She was a loving mother, and grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are sons and daughters-in-law, John and Tarona Hollingsworth, Joel and Heidi Hollingsworth; grandchildren, Beren Hollingsworth, Kylie Hollingsworth, Saffie Hollingsworth, Pippa Hollingsworth;  sister-in-law, Brenda Norton; brother-in-law, Dallas Hollingsworth.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hollingsworth was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Kenan Hollingsworth, brother, Gary Wayne Norton; sister-in-law, Faye Smith Hollingsworth. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 1401 Fancy Gap Rd. Mt.
