Mrs. Carolyn Ann Goins Transou

Mrs. Carolyn Ann Goins Transou was welcomed into God’s arms Wednesday, January 13, 2016. She was born in Surry County on June 9, 1953 to Elsie “Gladys” Goins and the late Roby Lee Goins, Sr. She was married to the love of her life, Tony Michael Transou. Carolyn spent her entire life loving and serving God, her family and her friends. Carolyn was a retired real estate broker and a dedicated homemaker. She loved being with others, traveling, reading, time spent at Myrtle Beach and at the Lowgap Wildlife Club. She was a dedicated member of Bannertown Baptist Church and served on various committees. She is survived by her husband, Tony Transou, two children, Alison Transou and Jeffrey Transou and wife, Stacy; one grandchild, Emerson Grace Transou; her mother, Elsie “Gladys” Goins, two sisters, Bonnie Shelton and husband, Don, Sandra Scott and husband, Tim; her loved nieces and nephews; great nephews and special goddaughter. In addition to her father, Mrs. Transou was preceded in death by a brother, Roby Lee Goins, Jr., and two nephews, Roby Lee Goins, III and Michael Shane Goins. A memorial service will be held at Bannertown Baptist Church (Fountain of Life-location) Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends following the service for a celebration of her sweet life.
