Mrs. Carolyn Gail Reece Whitaker

Mrs. Carolyn Gail Reece Whitaker, 66, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born in Surry County on October 24, 1946 to the late Dewey John and Elsie Mae Reynolds Reece. Mrs. Whitaker was a retired cashier from Wal-Mart. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Gail Heath, and Susan McCormick both of Mt. Airy; a son, Franklin Dale Heath of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whitaker was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Herman Whitaker. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Zion Primitive Baptist Church on Pine Ridge Road, Mt. Airy. Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy is serving the Whitaker family.
