Mrs. Cassie Hall Piedmont

Mrs. Cassie Hall Piedmont, age 98, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in Richlands, VA.
She was born in Patrick County, Va., a daughter of the late John and Lucy Hall. Mrs. Piedmont was a long-time member of Grace Moravian Church. She retired from the State of Virginia and also worked at both Lowe's Hardware and Surry Hospice for many years. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Vernon Piedmont and one son, James "Jimmy" Piedmont, Jr. Survivors include two sons, Robert Piedmont of Richmond, VA and William Piedmont of Richlands, VA; three grandchildren, Scott Wilson and wife Cindy, Mt. Airy; Shannon Piedmont, Abingdon, VA; Betsy Campbell and husband Latane, Ashland, VA; five great grandchildren, Kyle and Amy Wilson, Mt. Airy; Brook-Lynn Farley, Abingdon, VA; Landon and Colin Campbell, Ashland, VA and one nephew, Eddie Dorsett, Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9 at Grace Moravian Church, with the Rev. Anthony Hayworth officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Moody Funeral Service is serving the Piedmont family.
