Mrs. Cheryl Wood Bowman

Cheryl Wood Bowman, age 63, a resident of Cleveland and formerly of Stuart, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the family residence in Cleveland. Cheryl was the daughter of the late Lillian Cockram Wood and Murray Wood. Her son, Larry Burton Bowman III and her sister, Glenda Wilkinson also preceded her in death. Cheryl worked in Textiles most of her life including Perry Manufacturing and Bassett Walker Clothing. She enjoyed traveling and all kinds of music. Cheryl was a member of the Five Forks Wesleyan Church in Stuart, Virginia.

Survivors include her son, Eric Bowman and his wife Candice of Cleveland, her grandchildren, Joshua and Nicholas Bowman both of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Zachery Bowman of Cleveland, her sisters, Myrna Swiney and her husband Jack of Hickory, North Carolina, Phyllis Hubbard and her husband Sherman of Stuart, Virginia, her brother, Maynard Wood and his wife Jeanette of Ridgeway, Virginia, her longtime companion, Scott Ewald of Cleveland and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2:00 P. M. from the Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, Virginia with Pastor Dave Henry officiating. Interment will follow in the Alex Cockram Family Cemetery in Meadows of Dan, Virginia. The family request that in lieu of flowers, Memorials be made to the Kidney Research Foundation. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P. M. Saturday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel has charge of the local arrangements.
