Mrs. Cheryl Gaye Shelton Robertson

Mrs. Cheryl Gaye Shelton Robertson, 73, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. She was born in Surry County, September 8, 1944 to the late Jasper Franklin and Frances Arlene Carter Shelton. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Kirk Mosley, and Christy and Carl Smith; a son and his fiancé, Randy Lee Robertson and Kathy Stark, his son, Jason Lee Robertson and her children, Walter, Darby, and Emily; grandchildren, Brandon Carl Smith and wife Courtney, Austin Randle Smith and girlfriend Kristin Key, Kendell Allen Smith, Kendra Mosley Dalton, and Heather Mosley Shore and husband Kenyon; five great-grandchildren, Everly Smith, Hunter Dalton, Kolton Shore, Eli Shore, and Grace Shore; a brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Lydia Shelton; her mother-in-law, Naomi Robertson; and two furry companions, Peanut and Cocoa. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Randle Robertson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Blue Ridge Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Woody Flippin, Rev. Tommy Shelton, Rev. Danny Moore, and Rev. Larry Stone officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday night, November 28, 2017 at Blue Ridge Baptist Church from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the special caregivers that have helped Mrs. Robertson during her illness.
