Mrs. Cheryl Barker Taylor

Mrs. Cheryl Beverly Barker Taylor, age 69 of Lowgap, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Taylor was born in Surry County on June 30, 1943 to Leander Ernest "Lee" and Myrtle Irene Senter Barker. She was a loving homemaker who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Surviving are a daughter, Sherry Taylor of Lowgap; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Monica Taylor of Ararat; Sonny and Dawn Taylor of Lowgap; Barker and Gina Taylor of Cana, VA; grandchildren, Tabatha Brannock, Bridgett Payne, Joseph Taylor and Joshua Taylor; step grandchildren, Crystal Dalton, Sarah Goins and Jesse Jones; great grandchildren, Emily Brannock, Brooklyn Brannock, Levi Payne and Lucas Brannock. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Taylor and brothers, H. W. Barker, Bobby Lee Barker, Elden Barker and Grover Barker. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday at her daughter's home by Rev. Tony Holder. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home Sunday night from 6:00 to 8:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moody Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
