Mrs. Christine James Rorrer

Mrs. Christine J. Rorrer, age 64 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. She was born on April 24, 1945 in Franklin County to the late Roy Hamilton James and Lera Nolen James. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rorrer was preceded in death by two brothers, R. H. and Albert James. She was a member of Buffalo Ridge Church of God of Prophecy, and was employed by Hanes Brand.
Mrs. Rorrer is survived by her husband, Donnie R. Rorrer of the home; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Alberta and Junior Shively, Maxine and J. D. Jones, and Nadine Scott, all of Ferrum, Georgetta Evans of Roanoke and Pat and Roger Carter of Boones Mill; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special nephew, Donnie R. Evans of Roanoke.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rorrer will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Dale Bailey and Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at noon until time of the service at the funeral home.
