Mrs. Clara Catherine Melton Coalson

Mrs. Clara Catherine Melton Coalson, 89, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born in Forsyth County on January 15, 1927 to the late Charlie Glenn and Ella Ayers Melton. Mrs. Coalson was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Sharrell and Angel Coalson; grandsons, Sharrell Coalson, Jr. and Darrell Coalson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coalson was preceded in death by her husband, Brady Martin Coalson; a son, Buford Darrell Coalson and a brother, Chares Estel Melton. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Melton Family Cemetery with Brother Don Collins officiating.
