Mrs. Claudia Irene Easter Cagle

Mrs. Claudia Irene Easter Cagle, 94 of Cana, VA, passed away Thursday night, June 8, 2017 at Trinity Mission of Hillsville. She was born in Carroll County on March 14, 1923 to the late Cosby Price Easter and Maude Mirenda Leftwich Easter. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. Mrs. Cagle is survived by her two daughters and a son-in-law, Peggy Vernon, and Gail Haymore and Ronald; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ressie Easter Marshall; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cagle was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Carvin Cagle; a son, Reavis Cagle; a daughter, Rebecca Willodean Cagle Eaton; and a great-great-granddaughter, Alyssa Brielle Butcher. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Cana Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Vass, Rev. Edd Bowman, and Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Mrs. Cagle’s family would like to say “Thank You” to all of the staff at Trinity Mission of Hillsville for all of the love and care shown to Mrs. Cagle during her stay there.
