Mrs. Cora Rebecca "Kitty" Hall Edwards

Mrs. Cora Rebecca "Kitty" Hall Edwards, age 84 of Cana, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Edwards was born in Carroll County, VA on February 25, 1928 to Vance and Nancy Tate Hall. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. Edwards was co-owner and operator of Edwards Grocery in Cana for many years. She is survived by three caring and dedicated daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Rickey Tilley, Lisa and Darrell Edwards and Carolyn and Eddie Rippey all of Cana; three granddaughters, Christy Tilley and husband, Randy Lyons, Becky Brendle and Leanna Rippey; three great-granddaughters, Katie Beth Lyons, Erin Brendle and Ava Brendle; sisters, Vera Lytton of Radford, VA, Verna Crotts, Frances Edwards, Annis Hall and Debbie Combs all of Cana; a brother, A.D. Hall of Cana. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her adored husband, Perry Luther Edwards; a wonderful grandson, Joseph Rippey; and two brothers, James and Grover Hall. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Paul's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Jones and Rev. Tony Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the Hall Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
