Mrs. Dell B. Quesinberry

Mrs. Dell B. Quesinberry, age 90 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Ronald Cockram of Meadows of Dan. She was born in Carroll County on August 21, 1916 to the late Anderson A. and Rose Weatherman Bobbitt. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Quesinberry was preceded in death by her husband, Cleados H. Quesinberry; three brothers, John M. Bobbitt, Charles (Jack) Bobbitt and Joseph Bobbitt; and her father and mother-in-law, Heath and Mattie Quesinberry. She taught school in Carroll County for two years and in Patrick County for 22 years, and was a member of Meadows of Dan Baptist Church.
Mrs. Quesinberry is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Ann and Ronald Cockram of Meadows of Dan and Gay Hawkins of Wytheville; six grandchildren, Sonita Cockram Redmond of North Augusta, South Carolina, Rhonda Cockram Baxley of Yorktown, VA, Jason A. Cockram of Meadows of Dan, Bret Cockram of Wytheville, Cory Cockram of Wytheville and Scott Cockram of Shenandoah; fourteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Imogene Bowers of Woodlawn, Mary Lee Wood of Lynchburg, and Betty Sue Mabe of Galax; two sisters-in-law, Linda Harmon Bobbitt of Woodlawn and Clara Bobbitt of Galax; and many special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Quesinberry will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Marshall and Rev. Michael Shockley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.
