Mrs. Dora Elizabeth Hawks Cagle White

Mrs. Dora Elizabeth Hawks Cagle White 81, of Cana, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 10, 2015, at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. White was born on July 21, 1934 in Carroll County to the late Victor Monroe Hawks and Nancy Katherine Crotts Hawks. Mrs. White is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Gail Diane Edwards of Cana and Judy Leftwich and Joe of Mt. Airy; nine grandchildren, Amanda Sproule and Robert, Stacie Edwards, Christopher Leftwich and Amanda, Jason Leftwich, JoAnn Leftwich, Crystal Brindle and Brian, Richard Cagle, Amy Cagle, and Debbie Lynn Gonzalez; a special great-granddaughter, Brittney Edwards; twenty-five great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way; and a sister, Essie Cagle. In addition to her parents, Mrs White was preceded in death by a son, Leo Cagle; two infant daughters; a grandson, Justin Edwards; her first husband, Raymond Cagle; her second husband, Jarvis White; a brother, Sydney Hawks; a sister, Mary Goad; and a son-in-law, Wade Leon Edwards. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Crotts Family Cemetery in Cana with Rev. Albert Everidge officiating. There will be no formal visitation for Mrs. White.
