Mrs. Doris Alyene Lawson Lynch

Mrs. Doris Alyene Lawson Lynch, 81, passed away Wednesday June 22, 2016 at Priddy Manor Assisted Living, King NC. She was born September 24, 1934 in Stokes County to the late Johnny Davis Lawson and Bessie Lawson Lawson. Doris graduated from Pilot Mountain High School. She married Billy Gray Lynch on November 27, 1954 and they had three children, Pamela, Terrie and Norman. After graduation from Beauty and Cosmetology School, Doris was the owner of Doris’ Beauty Shop in Pinnacle for thirty years. Mrs. Lynch loved her family and her caring, sweet nature was known to all those she touched in life. Doris spent numerous hours working outside in her flowers, enjoying nature and painting. She and her daughter Pam enjoyed touching lives working with Therapy Dog International and visiting nursing homes. Doris attended Freedom Baptist Church, Rural Hall, NC. Mrs. Lynch is survived by a son, Norman Lynch and wife Sandra; one daughter, Terrie Lynch- Chilton and husband Tony; one son-in-law, Arnold Nelson; three loving grandsons, Austin, Channing and Brantley Lynch, three half-sisters and two half-brothers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lynch was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lynch and her daughter, Pamela Nelson; three sisters; three brothers; one half-brother. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Pinnacle United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pinnacle with Rev. Darrell Price and Rev. Jon White officiating. The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to all the staff at Priddy Manor Assisted Living and Hospice & Palliative Care Center for the loving care they provided to Doris and the family. Moody Funeral Service in Mount Airy is serving the Lynch family.
