Mrs. Dorothy June Klutz Hodges

Mrs. Dorothy June Klutz Hodges, 88, passed away at her home, Friday, November 18, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Forsyth County on June 16, 1928 to the late Paul and Mary Safrit Klutz. Mrs. Hodges was co-owner of Carolina Dixie Warehouse and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends.. She is survived by sons, Harold “Skipper” Hodges, Jr. of Mt. Airy, Gene Hodges of NJ; grandchildren, Kelly and Steve Mosley, Audrey and Tim Simpson, Tracy Hodges, all of Mt. Airy, Sarah Hodges, of Winston Salem, Grace Hodges of New York, Sam Hodges of Vermont; great grandchildren, Brett Mosley of Boone, and Chase Mosley of Mt. Airy; a sister, Helen Cheek of Hamptonville; a brother, Dan Klutz of Winston Salem; sister-in-law, Phyllis Hodges Wernli and husband Joe of Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hodges, Sr.; a son Richard “Dicky” Hodges; sisters, Esther George, May Joyner, and Frances Sink; a brother, Lee Klutz. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Alton Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 272 Oak Grove Church Rd., Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
