Mrs. Dorothy Marie Puckett Lawless

Mrs. Dorothy Marie Puckett Lawless, age 81 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Pioneer Community Hospital. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 22, 1929 to the late Walter R. and Dorothea Smith Puckett. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lawless was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Erica Nichole "Nikki" Belcher and a sister, Barbara Corns. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and had worked for J.P. Stevens Corporation.
Mrs. Lawless is survived by her husband, Charlie Wade Lawless, Sr. of Stuart; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charlie Wade, Jr. and Carolyn Lawless, Teddy Ray and Donice Lawless; a daughter, Deborah K. Lawless, all of Stuart; three grandchildren, Zane Rigney, Jared Rorrer and Denice Beasley; three great-grandchildren, Kevin Belcher, Trey Beasley and Logan Rorrer; and one sister, Nancy Terry of Stuart.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lawless will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Sycamore Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the funeral services, and at other times at the home of her daughter, Deborah Lawless.
