Mrs. Dorothy Crouse Elliott Lowe

Mrs. Dorothy Crouse Elliott Lowe, 81 of Lowgap passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy. Mrs. Lowe was born in Wythe County, VA on May 2, 1931 to the late Dock and Verna Richardson Crouse. She retired from Central Continuing Care and a longtime member of Midway Heights Community Church. Mrs. Lowe is survived by her husband, Shelby Gene Lowe; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Carolyn and Ronnie Hamm of Woodlawn, Sharon and Randall Carico of Galax, Patricia Elliott of Hillsville and Sheila and Mike Perry of Galax; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Jennifer Elliott of Galax; step sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Jack R. Elliott and wife, Carolyn of Winston Salem and Bobby and Darlene Elliott of Fries, Bradley and Billie Jo Lowe, Samuel and Paulette Lowe all of Pilot Mountain and Douglas Lowe of Concord; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her first husband, of 37 years, Otho Wayne Elliott; three sisters, Retha Gunter, Clara Arnold and Ruby White; three brothers, Albert, Dewey and Tyre Crouse. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home with Bob Adams and Rev. Jack Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at Monta Vista in Galax.
