Mrs. Dorothy Jean Beane Marion

Mrs. Dorothy Jean Beane Marion, age 79, of Dobson passed away on September 17, 2017 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born in Surry County on October 16, 1937 to the late Robert Wilson Beane and the late Ada Mae Denny Beane. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband J.C. Marion, brother Raymond Beane. She was a member of Welcome Baptist Church and was retired from Washington Mills in Dobson. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Kenneth O’Neal, of Dobson; grandchildren Kristi and Steven Edwards of Mt. Airy, Barry and Jamie O’Neal, of Dobson; great-grandchildren Chandler Luke Edwards, Strummer Kate O’Neal, and Finnlee Titus O’Neal; sisters Betty Lowe and Barbara Ann Beane both of Dobson; brother, Weldon Beane of Boonville; sister-in-law Fannie Beane of Dobson. Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Tuesday at Welcome View Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Tony White and Rev. Barry O’Neal will conduct the services. The Family will receive friends at Welcome View Baptist Church on Tuesday September 19, 2017 from 4:00 PM until time of her service at 6:00 PM.
