Mrs. Dorothy Crissman Smith

Mrs. Dorothy Crissman Smith, age 90, of Dobson passed away on Wednesday March 23, 2016 at her home in Dobson. She was born in Surry Co. on September 13, 1925 to the late Floyd V. Crissman and the late Ethel Whitaker Crissman. She was a member of Dobson First Baptist Church and was a home maker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of over sixty-seven years, Clifton Dwin Smith. Surviving is her daughter Suzanne Smith of Dobson; one sister Verona C. Hiatt of Winston-Salem; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday March 25, 2016 in the Dobson First Baptist Church Chapel, burial will follow in the Pine Hill Friends Meeting Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday one hour before the service at the church. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Dobson First Baptist Building Fund PO Box 278 Dobson, NC 27017.
