Mrs. Dorothy "Lillian" Terry

Mrs. Dorothy “Lillian” Terry, age 90 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2017 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born in Patrick County on June 3, 1927 to the late W.T. “Will” Hopkins and Evelyn Hubbard Hopkins. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Terry; a brother, Allen Hopkins; and two sisters, Minnie Puckett and Lucy Roantree. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.

Mrs. Terry is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Melvin Hall of Laurel Fork; Alice and Dwight Wood of Stuart, Libby and Roger Terry of Meadows of Dan; 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Sycamore Baptist Church with Pastor Gerald Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the Sycamore Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. If desired, memorials may be made to the Smith River Rescue Squad, P.O.
