Mrs. Dorsa Lee Hawks

Mrs. Dorsa Lee Hawks Hawks, age 70 of Cana, VA, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Hawks was born in Surry County on January 27, 1946 to Troy and Dorothy Edwards Hawks. She was a loving mother who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Those who will always cherish her memory are daughters, Ginger Hawks and Debbie Hawks; a son, Brandon Hawks; grandchildren, Dylan Hawks and Stephanie Gardner and husband Adrian; great grandchildren, Gracie, Chloie, Hailey Leigh and Nathaniel; sisters, Gladys Combs and Imogene Dawson and husband Raymond; sisters-in-law, Shirley Hawks, Bernice Hawks and Ollie Hawks. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Hawks; a son, Richie Hawks; brothers, Wade Hawks, Ules Hawks and Dallas Hawks. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Sandy Ridge Primitive Baptist Church by Elder V. J. Hawks, Elder Arwood Edwards and Rev. Timmy Hawks.
