Mrs. Eleanor Mae Carson Simmons

Mrs. Eleanor Mae Carson Simmons, age 72 of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, and formerly of Patrick County, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011. She was born in West Virginia on December 10, 1938 to the late Raymond M. and Grace Matthews Carson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her first husband, Granville Clark Alloway; her second husband, Lawrence B. "Larry" Simmons; a daughter, Tonya Marie Alloway; and a grandson, Heath Alloway. She had been a cashier at W & W Produce in Stuart.
Mrs. Simmons is survived by one daughter, Teresa Trusty of Cedar Bluff; one son, Terry Alloway of Texas; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren with one on the way.
A graveside service for Mrs. Simmons will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Patrick Memorial Gardens with Rev. Benny Redd officiating.
