Mrs. Elizabeth Mays Manning

Mrs. Elizabeth Mays Manning, age 98 of Martinsville passed away Sunday at the Kings Grant Healthcare Center. She was born on Sept. 20, 1910 in Patrick County to the late Benjamin Hill Mays and Carrie Hatcher Mays. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, William E. Manning; and one sister, Lena Mays Leach. Mrs. Manning was a former school teacher in Patrick County and the Washington, D.C. area. She was a member of Stuart Presbyterian Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving are a daughter and son in law, Bennett and Roscoe Brady of Bethesda, MD; two grandsons, Roscoe Brady, Jr. and Owen Brady.
There will be a graveside service for Mrs. Manning on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Stuart Cemetery with Rev. Bucky Hunsicker officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 to 1:45 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
