Mrs. Elizabeth Dorothy Hicks Wilson

Mrs. Elizabeth Dorothy Hicks Wilson age 92 of Mt. Airy, NC. passed away on Friday December 11, 2015 at the home of her son. Mrs. Wilson was born March 14, 1923 in Surry County to the late Luther Herbert and Mallie Creed Hicks. Mrs. Wilson was retired from Perry Manufacturing and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law Marilyn Bootsie and James Bouldin of Mt. Airy, one son and daughter-in-law Gary and Donna Wilson of Mt. Airy, three grandchildren Dawn Tickle and husband Justin, Deidra Slate and husband Josh and Greg Ables, six great grandchildren, Logan, Luke and Lily Tickle, Lynzee and Leelan Slate and Jessica and Michael Tilley, two great great grandchildren Hannah and Sawyer Tilley and by one sister Lillian Isaacs of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Washington Wilson, four sisters Alma McCune, Percy Creed, Maude Holder and Ella Mayes and by four brothers Jasper, Melvin, Edgar and Marlin Hicks. Funeral services will be held Monday December 14, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Kenneth Jessup with burial to follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday night 6 to 8 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC.
