Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Reynolds Woods

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Reynolds Woods, age 74 of Newton, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born in Martinsville, Virginia on December 17, 1936 to the late James Hampton Reynolds and Gertrude Elizabeth Webb Reynolds. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woods was preceded in death by two grandchildren, James Woods and Caroline Schierlmann; a brother; Cody Reynolds, and a sister, Vivian R. Wilson. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Hickory, North Carolina.
Mrs. Woods is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tarlton E. Woods of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard Thomas and Ann Woods of Charlotte; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol Ann and John Schierlmann of Hickory; and four grandchildren, Alexander, Jack, Davis and Haley Schierlmann.
A memorial service for Mrs. Woods will be held Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Hickory with Dr. James Bernhardt officiating. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Meadows of Dan Baptist Church Cemetery.
