Mrs. Ellen Blair Childress

Mrs. Ellen Blair Childress, 70 of Mt. Airy, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Childress was born in Richland County, SC, August 24, 1940 to the late Clyde and Dorothy Hawkins Green. She was a retired CNA and was a member of Woodland Baptist Church in Mt. Airy. She is survived by her husband, Billy Childress of the home; a daughter, Sharon Branson of Mt. Airy; two sons, Tommy and Danny Childress both of Mt. Airy; a step daughter, Billy Jean Childress of Mt. Airy; grandchild, Portia Childress of Mt. Airy; a great grandchild, Rihanna Childress of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Childress was preceded in death by cousins, Georgia and Jim Yates.
