Mrs. Elsie Roberts Bishop

Mrs. Elsie Roberts Bishop, age 90 died April 6, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Buena Vista, Virginia where she was a resident. She was born in Patrick County on March 10, 1918 to the late William Henry Roberts and the late Minnie Stovall Roberts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aldon Bishop, a son, Charles Bishop, and two sisters Lily R. Fulcher and Otra R. Martin. She was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church in Stuart.
Mrs. Bishop is survived by a grandson, David Klooz; two sisters, Ruth R. Alred of Mt. Airy, North Carolina and Margaret R. Harris of Buena Vista, her long-time caregiver; and two brothers, William Guy Roberts of Stuart and Walter E. Roberts of Eden, North Carolina; and a daughter-in-law, Joanne B. Corns of Stuart. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bishop will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 1 pm at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, with burial to follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens.
