Mrs. Elsie Mae Martin Lawson

Mrs. Elsie Mae Martin Lawson, age 77 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at her home. She was born in Stokes County, North Carolina on January 6, 1935 to the late Coley T. and Carrie Marie Hutchens Martin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Akers Lawson.
Mrs. Lawson is survived by one daughter, Joan L. Rodgers of Lawsonville, North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Georgia Shelton of Danbury, North Carolina; a niece, Kathy Young of Danbury; her special girls, Maryln, Jane, Tammy, Glenda, Tina, Reva and Tecisa; and her precious baby dog, Daisy.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lawson will be held Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Gary Combs officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial in Patrick Memorial Gardens will be private.
