Mrs. Erna Jean McCraw Bobbitt

Mrs. Erna Jean Audrey McCraw Bobbitt, age 83, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017, at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Bobbitt was born in Surry County on April 12, 1934, to Isaac Glenn and Ethel Sechrist McCraw. She was a very dear person who will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends. Surviving are daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie and Jerry Quesenberry; Rhonda Wagoner; grandchildren, Kenny Ward and wife Maranda; and Kimberly Walker and husband Preston; great grandchildren, Chelsie Ward, Gage Walker, and Gunner Walker; a sister, Earlene Smith; very special nieces and nephews; special friends, Barbara McCraw, Ruby Bobbitt, and Roger and Vera Golden; and especially her New Bethel Baptist Church family, she loved each one dearly. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bobbitt was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Pose Bobbitt and by a sister, Gerl Simpson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at New Bethel Baptist Church by Rev. Jimmy McCraw. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the church starting at noon.
