Mrs. Ethel Mae Wiggington Coleman

Mrs. Ethel Mae Wiggington Coleman, age 93 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on July 16, 1914 to the late Jack and Omie Cassady Wiggington. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her husband, John Raymond Coleman; one son, Esley Coleman; and several brothers and sisters. She was a member of Dobyns Primitive Baptist Church, and had retired from Pannill Knitting Company.
Mrs. Coleman is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John Raymond, Jr. and Hazel Coleman of Spencer; two daughters and a son-in-law, Emma Jean White of Roanoke and Loretta and Delano Doss of Hampton; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Thelma Scott of Roanoke.
Funeral services for Mrs. Coleman will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Donnie Conner officiating. Burial will follow in the Wiggington Family Cemetery.
