Mrs. Ethel Browder McCraw

Mrs. Ethel Corine Browder McCraw, age 76, of Pilot Mountain, NC passed away on Saturday morning March 17, 2012 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. She was born in Surry Co. on April 6, 1935 to the late Jessie Haymore Browder and the late Eunice Spainhour Browder. She was retired from the Northern Hospital of Surry County and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fern McCraw; three sisters Margie Draughn, Agnes Draughn, Thelma Draughn; two brothers Dean Browder and J.H. Browder; one grandson Jimmy Shinault, and two great grandchildren. Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law Patricia Midkiff and Leroy Gammons of Mt. Airy, Diane Woods of Mt. Airy, Nancy and Kenneth McGee of Pilot Mountain, Kathy and Dennis Tate of Mt. Airy, Sandy and Jim Kolpack Richmond, VA, Janet Odum of Mt. Airy; sons and daughters-in-law Ervin and Frankie Odum of Dobson, Bobby and Della Odum of Mt. Airy, James and Patsy Odum of Mt. Airy, Roy and Sue Odum of Dobson; twenty eight grandchildren; fifty six great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law Bill and Janette Browder of Asheboro, Grady and Dot Browder of Winston-Salem.
Funeral services will be held Monday 2:00 PM March 19, 2012 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hills Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Chaplin Kevin Wilson and Rev. Ray Hudson will conduct the services. The Family will Receive Friends on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Services in Dobson, NC.
