Mrs. Ethylene Moorefield Shelton

Mrs. Ethylene Moorefield Shelton, 81, of Mt. Airy, NC, wife of Mr. Paul Shelton passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born in Surry County on July 28, 1931 to the late Columbus and Mallie Bryant Moorefield. She was a member of Bannertown Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, Paul Shelton of the home, two daughters and two sons-in-law, Diann Shelton of Germanton, Deborah and Greg Simpson of Charlotte, and Phil Gandt, Austin, TX, a grandson, Justin Smith of Advance, a sister, Cora Lee Joyce of Pilot Mountain, a brother and sister in-law, Ronald and Pat Moorefield of Pilot Mountain. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by a daughter, Tensie Lee Shelton Gandt and a brother, Staymon Moorefield. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Rusty Reed and Rev. Mickey Cogdill.
