Mrs. Eva Jean Galyean Gwyn

Mrs. Eva Jean Galyean Gwyn, 71 of Mt. Airy passed away at her home Thursday, October 11, 2012. Mrs. Gwyn was born in Surry County on May 18, 1941 to the late Tommy Anderson and Belle Edwards Galyean. Mrs. Gwyn work for Mt. Airy Furniture and was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Gwyn is survived by a daughter, Nancy Ann Gwyn and special friend Terry Danley of the home; sons, and daughters-in-law, Tommy Gwyn and wife, Kathy, Randy Gwyn, Sr. and wife, Nena, all of Mt. Airy; twelve grandchildren; several step grandchildren six great grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Edwards, Judy Cockerham; brother, Jimmy Galyean; brother-in-law, Robert Gwyn and wife, Olga. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gwyn was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Buford "Bill" Gwyn; son, Michael Gwyn; five grandchildren; a sister, Mary Golding and a brother Leroy Galyean. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy with Swanson Goad officiating. Burial will follow at Old Hollow Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
