Mrs. Eva Geneva Sigmon

Mrs. Eva Geneva Martin Sigmon, age 96 of Hildebran, North Carolina passed away on Monday evening at the Golden Living Ctr. in Mt. Airy, North Carolina. She was born in Lincoln County North Carolina on January 15, 1912 to the late Vester Martin and to the late Carrie Willis Martin. She was retired from Mosteller Hosiery and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hildebran. She was preceded in death by her first husbands Earl L. Evans and her last husband Murphy Sigmon. Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law Edna and Richard Morefield of Albany, Ga., Gaye Shook of Hildebran, NC, Slyvia and Alford Nelson of Jersey Shore, Pa., JoAnn and John VanHorn of Dobson, NC; by one son Theodore Young of Hildebran, NC; by twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Sigmon in Hildebran, North Carolina at a later date. Moody-Davis Funeral Service, Inc. is serving the Sigmon family.
