Mrs. Evelyn Rachel Strickland Campbell O'Neal, Age 81 of 498 Bluemont Rd. Mt. Airy passed away Saturday September 24, 2011, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. O'Neal was born January 21, 1930 in Randolph County to the late Charlie Harris and Rachel Robbins Strickland, she was retired from Pine State Knitwear and was a member of Woodville Baptist Church where she was a member of the Tiny Hall WMU and a lifetime member of the V.F.W Ladies Auxillery. Surviving are her step son and his wife Greg and Christy O'Neal of Mt. Airy, one step grandson Ross O'Neal of Mt. Airy, one step granddaughter Lillian Grace O'Neal of Mt. Airy, two step great grandchildren Ethan Chase O'Neal and Rachel Elizabeth O'Neal, one sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Ricky Nelson of Asheboro, three brothers and sisters-in-law Lacy Strickland of Troy, Charlie Strickland, Jr. and his wife Mary and Pat Strickland all of Asheboro, several nieces and nephews and special friends June and Don Brannock, Norris Jarrell Family, Chuck Taylor, Allison Taylor and Steve Branch Family. In addition to her parents Mrs. O'Neal was preceded in death by her 1st husband Keith Campbell, her 2nd husband John Henry O'Neal and by two sisters Betty Wall and Nellie Gray Strickland and a brother Leon Strickland. Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Keith Love with burial to follow the Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Woodville Baptist Church Cemetery Fund 5108 Westfield Rd. Mt.
