Mrs. Evelyn Barnard Spangler

Mrs. Evelyn Barnard Spangler, age 81 of Critz, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at her home. She was born on March 19, 1927 to the late Robert and Georgia Wood Barnard. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spangler was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Spangler; one infant daughter, Judy Ann Spangler; five sisters, Ruth Lassiter, Mabel Rodgers, Larmie Davidson, Lelia Hamilton and Bessie Overby; and three brothers, Charles Lee, Loy and Marion Barnard. She was a member of Meadows of Dan Baptist Church.
Mrs. Spangler is survived by two brothers, Frank Barnard of Maiden, North Carolina and Jesse "J.O." Barnard of Stuart; and one sister, Rosie Cox of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Spangler will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Michael Shockley officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadows of Dan Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
