Mrs. Faye Beaux Simpson Francis Atkins

Mrs. Faye Beaux Simpson Francis Atkins, 86 of Ararat, NC passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born in Surry County on October 10, 1926 to the late Tyra and Roxie Badgett Simpson. Mrs. Atkins was retired from the Renfro Sock Store and was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Moir Atkins of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Sam Boles of Ararat; two grandchildren, Jon Boles, Molly and Eric Willey, all of Ararat; two sisters and brother-in-law, Opal Watson of Mt. Airy, Anne and Bill Nifong of Winston-Salem; her extended family, Dwight and Brenda Atkins, Larry and Gracie Atkins, all of Ararat, Gary and Joan Atkins, Robin and Nan Atkins all of Pilot Mountain, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Atkins was preceded in death by her first husband Lonnie Odell Francis; two sisters, Lenora Frye, Ina Scott; two brothers, Carl and Claude Simpson. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Tate and Rev. Grant Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 AM until time of the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, and other times at her husband's home, 372 Little Mountain Church Rd and at her daughters home 179 Grandview Rd. Ararat, NC.
