Mrs. Faye Bryant Hawks

Mrs. Faye Bryant Hawks, age 72, of 688 Savannah Road Galax, VA, passed from this life into the loving arms of the Lord, on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Galax, VA. She was born August 12, 1940 in Surry County, NC to the late Harvey and Nellie Golding Bryant. Mrs. Hawks was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church on Haystack Road Mt. Airy, NC. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Ronnie Hawks. Two grandchildren, Leigh Ann Marlow and husband, Jermey, of Galax, VA and Jason Hawks and wife, Kayla, of Galax, VA. A great grandson, Jacob Hawks, of Galax, VA. A brother and sister-in-law, Junior Bryant and wife Becky, of Dobson, NC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Hawks, her sisters, Lois Stultz and Audette Lundy, and a brother, Gene Bryant. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 24, 2012 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Elder Doug Hawks. The family will receive friends at 1:30 pm Monday until time of the service at Moody Funeral Home.
