Mrs. Foy "Nell" Semones Lane White

Mrs. Foy “Nell” Semones Lane White, 86, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, July 01, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Carroll County, VA on December 19, 1930 to the late Foy Green, Sr. and Alma Lee DeHaven Semones. Mrs. White retired from Renfro Hosiery Mills, and attended Anchored in Jesus Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and many Christian friends. She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Martie Stevens of Mt. Airy, Sandra Kimrey and Randy of Yorktown, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Lane and Jennifer of Edenton, Rev. Joey Lane and Debbie of Mt. Airy; step-daughters and spouse, Liz Moore of Old Fort, Donna and Danny Bane of Newport News, VA; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; adopted sister, Lyndia Arbassitti and Marty of Fayetteville; a special friend, Russell Easter of Mt. Airy; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Clyde Lane; her second husband, Gurney White; a son-in-law, Teddy Stevens; brothers, Horrace, Emmett, and Alton Semones; a half-brother, Sonny Semones. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Blackwater Community Church Cemetery.
