Mrs. Frances Virginia Turner East

Mrs. Frances Virginia Turner East, age 65 of Claudville, passed away Monday, September 5, 2011 at the Hospice Home at High Point, North Carolina. She was born in Henry County on August 19, 1946 to the late General Jackson Turner and Ollie Stone Turner. In addition to her parents, Mrs. East was preceded in death by one son, Jamie East; and three brothers, Frank, George and Jackie Stone. She attended Creasey's Chapel United Methodist Church.
Mrs. East is survived by her husband, Dwight East of the home; one daughter, Tracy Nicholson of Sophia, North Carolina; one son, Ricky East of Stuart; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Louise Smithers of Trinity, North Carolina; and one brother, Paul Turner of Galax.
A funeral service for Mrs. East will be held Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Mike Hundley officiating. Burial will follow in the Creasey's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
