Mrs. Frances O'Neil Bobbitt Gentry

Frances O’Neil Bobbitt Gentry, age 89, of Lowgap, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at Pruitt Health in Elkin. She was born May 17, 1928 to the late Martin and Cora Manuel Bobbitt. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Lowgap; she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Herbert Hoover Gentry of the home; a daughter Cathy Gentry; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Robin Gentry; three grandchildren, Kevin, Nick and Hailey. In addition to her parents Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary McKenzie, Mae Lineberry, Alice Shupe and Jessie Bartley. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Russell Parsons.
