Mrs. Frances Jane Joyce

Mrs. Frances Jane Joyce, age 91 of Lawsonville, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on April 4, 1918 to the late Palmer Joyce and Sara Jane Hylton Joyce. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Hughes and her second husband, George Edward Joyce; two granddaughters, Aleta Nicole Hughes and Cassandra Hughes; one brother, William Joyce, and three sisters, Estelle, Eleanor and Elizabeth Joyce; and several half brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Joyce is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry Lynn and Sandra Hughes of Stuart and Emmonds Legree Hughes of Ridgeway; two grandchildren, Beryl Hughes of Eden, North Carolina and Laurie Lynn Bosse of Roanoke; one sister, Myrtle Rucker of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce will be held Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Brooks Tatum officiating. Burial will follow in the Ayers Cemetery.
