Mrs. Frances "Billie" Nelson

Mrs. Frances "Billie" Nelson, age 80, died on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Patrick County on April 27, 1928 to the late Dewey Rea and Anice Gunter Rea. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, S. Douglas Nelson; a daughter, Cathy Ann Nelson; a brother, Walter Dewey Rea; a sister, Mary C. Pigg, and a step-father Walter "Ball" Rea. She was a member of Meadow United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by two sons, Steven Ralph & wife, Nancy Nelson of Spencer, Virginia and Tony Douglas & wife, Angie Nelson of Cambridge, Maryland; and four grandchildren, Miranda Kate Nelson, Kayla Ann Nelson, Joseph Douglas Nelson, and Katherine Lynne Nelson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nelson will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 11:00am at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
