Mrs. Frances Coleman Woods

Mrs. Frances Coleman Woods, age 61 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on February 26, 1945 to the late Curtis and Laura Simmons Coleman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woods was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Reece Woods; one grandson, David Riley Marshall; one half-brother, Jack Coleman; and one half-sister, Mary Ann Wiggington. She had been a bus driver for the Patrick County School System, and was a member of the Big A Church of Christ.
Mrs. Woods is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Randy Pruitt and Lisa and David Marshall, all of Stuart; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Tina Woods of Stuart; four grandchildren, Erin Alexander, Jonathan Woods, Layton Reece Marshall and William Wood; one great-grandchild, Wesley Trent Alexander; a special cousin, Paula Drady of Stuart; and a special friend, Anita Prutting of Stuart.
Funeral services for Mrs. Woods will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Brother Alan Caudle, Preacher Ed Hartman and Pastor J. R. Vipperman officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and at other times at the home of her daughter, Debbie Pruitt.
