Mrs. Gaynell Belcher McGrady

Mrs. Gaynell Belcher McGrady, age 72 of Woolwine, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on October 23, 1938 to the late Joe Ed and Vera DeHart Belcher. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McGrady was preceded in death by her twin sister, Estell Hodgson, a sister, Pauline Wilmouth; and three brothers, J.D. Belcher, Joe Henry Belcher and an infant. She was a member of Woolwine United Methodist Church and of the United Methodist Women's Club. She retired from DuPont with 37 years of service.
Mrs. McGrady is survived by her husband, Leslie R. McGrady of the home; one sister, Frankie Brammer of Woolwine; one brother, William F. Belcher of Woolwine; one step-brother, Donald Scott of Vesta; a special nephew, Alan Aguire; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. McGrady will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Woolwine United Methodist Church with Rev. Sandy Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Woolwine Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
