Mrs. Gaynelle Howell East

Mrs. Gaynelle Howell East, age 74 of Patrick Springs, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 at her home. She was born in Patrick County on December 23, 1938 to the late James Samuel and Elva Hylton Howell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. East was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Akers East; one son, David East; a grandson, Brian East; and a sister, Lorene Fain. She had worked in the Finishing Department at United Elastic.
Mrs. East is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Kathy East of Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Molly East and Mark East, both of Wisconsin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Otis and Helen Howell, Richard and Sue Howell, all of Floyd; and a sister, Josie Spence of Patrick Springs.
Funeral services for Mrs. East will be held Friday, March 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Ed Hartman and Rev. Bernard Handy officiating. Burial will follow in the Mayo Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
